PMI Global Summit 2023 Findings
Unsurprisingly, project management is also dominated by artificial intelligence. A key topic was therefore preparing for the changes that AI will bring to project management. At the training event , practical tips and plenty of specialist knowledge were passed on on how best to deal with this change.
Accordingly, the biggest announcement was the launch of "PMI x AI", an initiative designed to teach project managers, project leaders and anyone else who needs it how to use artificial intelligence for their tasks. The Project Management Institute is thus taking an important step for its members, who could get ahead of the competition as a result.
At the same time, the summit emphasized that admitting your own mistakes is an important aspect, especially in times of AI. AI is not always right, but it can show us a more sensible way forward if we are open to it. This is a step in this change that we have to take in order not to fall behind.
This change was summarized in three steps:
- The signal: Recognize the signs of change.
- The opportunity: Recognize change as an opportunity to improve yourself and learn something.
- The decision: Dealing with change.
In addition, the summit consisted of numerous presentations, tips and impressions that will help you to develop your own mindset. Priya Patra is enthusiastic about the training event and will certainly be attending again next year. The PMI Global Summit will then take place in Los Angeles in September. We will also report again on what Priya Patra experienced there, if there are any new exciting insights.
