The course covers the official SAFe® curriculum:
1. PO & PM in the SAFe context
- Lean-Agile mindset and the responsibilities of roles in the Agile Release Train (ART).
2. Customer Centricity & Design Thinking
- Understanding personas, empathy maps, and customer journeys.
3. Preparing for PI Planning
- Definition of the vision and roadmap.
- Prioritize and prepare features.
4. Backlog Management & Execution:
- Write user stories and define acceptance criteria.
- Digression: Using AI for requirements engineering (user stories & features).
- Collaboration with teams during iterations.
5. Deliver value
- Release on demand and continuous improvement.
6. Exam preparation
- Tips and strategies for your POPM certification.
Requirements:
There are no formal requirements for participating in the course.
Experience working with agile teams as a product owner or Scrum Master is an advantage.
For those who wish to take the Certified SAFe® Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM) certification exam, we recommend experience in a SAFe environment and Lean or Agile certifications.

Training thrives on interaction. Numerous flip charts etc are created during the training. Group exercises challenge you to react quickly and understand what to do when you return to your workplace.
After participating in the training, you will receive access to the SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager exam. The login is valid for 30 days.
After passing the exam, you will receive the "Certified SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager" certificationfrom the Scaled Agile Academy.
Exam format: Multiple choice, web-based, no aids, 45 questions, pass rate: 80%, duration: 90 minutes
The exam will be conducted in English.
Experience shows that seven to ten hours of independent study are necessary to pass the exam successfully. Our trainers will prepare you optimally for this during the training course and will also be available to answer any questions you may have afterwards.
