The way software is designed, developed, and produced has changed significantly in recent years, not least due to microservices, containers, and container managers. Modern applications must function in a cluster of multiple nodes, be dynamically placeable, scalable, and fault-tolerant. This iSAQB Cloud Infrastructure training course for advanced level provides you with the answer to the question: "How do you design and implement dynamic cloud-native architectures?" Furthermore, the iSAQB Cloud Infrastructure training course does not only deal with the reasons for operating a cloud or its advantages and disadvantages. You will gain comprehensive knowledge on the topics of cloud-native architectures, container application design, logging/monitoring/alerting, container native storage, and options for UI integration. Typical concepts of current container managers are also presented and taught, showing how they can be used to implement common quality requirements for larger web applications. In this training , you training practical insights into modern cloud infrastructures, container technologies, and automation. You will learn how to design scalable and fault-tolerant cloud-native architectures and overcome operational challenges. The goal is to successfully implement innovative solutions for development, operation, and automation.

 

Fundamentals of modern infrastructures:

  • Cloud models (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) and their differences.
  • Advantages of containers and container managers.

 

Common architectural concepts:

  • Microservices, self-contained systems, event sourcing.
  • Communication and integration options between services.

 

Cloud Native Journey:

  • Advantages of cloud-native architectures (isolation, scaling, automation).
  • Storage solutions (object storage, block storage) and container security.

 

Helpful patterns:

  • Container Patterns (Ambassador, Sidekick, Scatter & Gather).
  • Service mesh and resilience patterns (circuit breaker, traffic shifting).

 

Development, CI/CD, and operations:

  • You should have practical experience in the design and development of small to medium-sized software systems.
  • Ideally, you have already gained some initial experience in the maintenance or further development of software systems.

  • Initial practical experience with modern microservice architectures and container managers is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of common cloud providers and their services will make it easier for you to get started.

 


Technical Requirements There are no special requirements for the training environment, as the exercises take place using cloud- and web-based tools such as Miro, Draw.io, and platforms such as Jupyter or HuggingFace. All that is needed is a stable and sufficiently fast internet connection.
