Machine Learning Engineer
Using real-world application scenarios, hands-on lab exercises and lectures, you will learn the skills you need to effectively implement and configure VMware vSphere 8.0.
Requirements:
This course requires completion of one of the following courses or equivalent knowledge and experience in ESXi and vCenter Server administration:
- VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage
- VMware vSphere: Optimize and Scale
- VMware vSphere: Fast Track
- VMware vSphere: Troubleshooting
Experience with working in the command line is helpful.
The course material assumes that you can perform the following tasks without assistance or guidance before enrolling in this course:
- Installing and configuring ESXi
- Install vCenter Server
- Create vCenter Server objects such as data centers and folders
- Create and manage roles and permissions in vCenter Server
- Creating and changing a standard switch
- Creating and modifying a distributed switch
- Connecting an ESXi host to NAS, iSCSI or Fibre Channel storage
- Creating a VMware vSphere VMFS datastore
- Using a content library template to create a virtual machine (VM)
- Changing the hardware of a virtual machine (VM)
- Migrating a virtual machine with VMware vSphere vMotion and VMware vSphere Storage vMotion
- Configure and manage a VMware vSphere Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) cluster
- Configure and manage a VMware vSphere High Availability (HA) cluster
- Using VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager to perform upgrades for ESXi hosts and virtual machines (VMs)
If you cannot perform all of these tasks, VMware recommends that you complete the VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage V8 course instead.
