FAQ:

What is the learning community?

The community is a learning community as part of your continuing education event. There you can exchange ideas with other attendees about the learning content and share professional or personal experiences from your different areas. The learning community also offers space for discussions and questions, whether technical or content-related.

Does my training event include access to the learning community?

You can find out whether your training event includes access to the learning community in your learning environment. At the start of your booked training event , you will also be informed about the community by e-mail .

How do I get access to the learning community?

At the start of your training event , you will receive a personal invitation to the learning community by e-mail . This invitation is valid for two weeks. Please note that you must actively accept this invitation by logging in with a Microsoft account. If you do not yet have an account, you can create one as part of the invitation. A Microsoft account is available free of charge.

How do I register in the learning community?

You will find a separate "Learn together!" tile in your learning environment. There you will find all the information you need to successfully register as well as tips and tricks for dealing with the learning community so that you can get the most out of your further education.

A Microsoft account is required to use Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is available in a free version. You can decide for yourself whether you want to download the Teams app or prefer to use the browser-based web app.

Now all you have to do is sign in with a Microsoft account and you have access to your online community. If you don't have an account yet, you can create one as part of the invitation. A Microsoft account is available free of charge.

I already have a Microsoft Teams account. Do I need to consider anything?

Usually you don't have to pay attention to anything. If theHaufe Akademie area" is not visible, log out and log in again to see everything in full. After logging in, a small drop-down menu will appear next to your profile picture where you can select the "Haufe Academy" tab.

Do I need the desktop app from MS Teams?

We recommend that you download the free Microsoft Teams app to be able to use all the functions. You can also simply join the community via your browser.

What requirements must my PC fulfill?

We recommend that you check at an early stage whether your PC meets the specific requirements for Microsoft Teams. You can find these here. If in doubt, please contact your company's IT department.

Tips for the optimal online training event

  • Make sure that you can take part in your training event from an undisturbed location so that you can concentrate fully on your training.
  • Take part in your training event via a desktop PC or laptop/notebook. Participation via cell phone or tablet is not possible or only possible to a very limited extent.
  • We recommend Google Chrome as the browser for participating in your training event.
  • Prepare your place: Have paper and pens ready for notes and make sure you have drinks.
  • Do the system check early on, ideally at least 2 days before the start of your training event. If there are internal company settings that restrict access to your camera, for example, your IT department can support you in advance.
  • Connect your headset and your camera (if you are participating with a desktop PC) and set these as output media in the system settings before you enter the event room.
  • To avoid distractions and disruptions and to increase connection stability, please close all applications that access the Internet, such as apps, mail programs or VPN clients.
  • For a stable Internet connection, we recommend using a LAN cable.
  • Before you enter the event room, delete the cookies in your browser.
