Forests are essential for the climate and biodiversity, yet large areas of forest are lost worldwide every year—often to make way for the cultivation of everyday raw materials. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires companies to demonstrate that certain raw materials and products have been produced without contributing to deforestation and in accordance with the law. In this way, it promotes transparency and strengthens sustainable business practices.
