Basics
Coaching, as the most effective personnel development measure, is a time-limited, professional accompaniment of your personal development process tailored to your individual needs. Coaching always has a clear goal that is set in a professional context. Coaching is solution- and future-oriented, focused on your existing resources and fundamentally promotes self-reflection and self-awareness. Essentially, coaching is help for self-help.
Typical reasons for coaching are, for example, a change of professional role, various leadership challenges, difficult change situations, a desire for personal development, career issues, intense stress situations and much more. Coaching enables you to develop the right (coping) strategies for you with an objective and neutral sparring partner, 100% confidentially and at eye level. In your coaching session, you will find your balance, gain clarity in dealing with the issues that are important to you, get to know yourself better and make the right decisions with confidence.
In specialist consulting, the consultant provides input; specialist training serves to impart knowledge in order to develop or expand skills and abilities. In principle, a coach is a neutral process facilitator and has a wide range of methods at their disposal. The aim is to discover, strengthen and bring out your existing inner resources.
Coaching is aimed exclusively at "healthy" people and deals with issues and challenges that arise in a professional context. A:e coach always works in a future-oriented way with the question: "What can I do to feel better in the future and achieve my goals?". Therapy, on the other hand, is aimed at people with mental illnesses. The causes of these can lie in the private and professional environment. A good coach can routinely draw the line between coaching and therapy and, if necessary, refers people to a therapist if issues come to light that can no longer be dealt with professionally in the context of coaching.
Only you - because it's your coaching and it's about your concerns! Whether you are facing a difficult professional situation or are simply looking for a sparring partner with whom you can discuss things as equals: you decide the topic you want to work on.
For coaching to be effective, it is very important that the chemistry between you and your:r coach is right. To this end, you can define in advance which personality traits you prefer in a:r coach and communicate your wishes regarding working methods, age and gender when you make your inquiry.
In your request, you can specify which form you prefer for your personal coaching process: in person on site, online or a hybrid form. In consultation with your coach, you decide for each session whether you will meet at the coach's premises or at a location suggested by you, or whether the appointment will take place by phone or video tool.
With online coaching, also known as virtual or remote coaching, you are not tied to a specific location. You can participate flexibly from anywhere by using an online meeting tool. In our community, we only accept coaches who are open to different tools, so you can also work with your familiar online medium. You can agree the intervals, time of day and medium for the coaching with your coach. Depending on your personality type, you may prefer coaching on the phone or communicating via video to see your coach's facial expressions and gestures.
In addition to German and English, coaching is currently also available in Bulgarian, Chinese, Danish, Finnish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Slovakian, Spanish, Czech and Hungarian.

No. The Haufe Akademie is not certified in accordance with the Accreditation and Approval Ordinance for Employment Promotion (AZAV). Therefore, the education voucher from the Federal Employment Agency cannot be redeemed. Alternatively, you can finance the coaching privately. If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you.
Process and procedure
After you have submitted your request, you will receive a proposal within 48 hours with three profiles of coaches who best match your requirements and wishes. You can then choose a coach from these. Feel free to take the opportunity to get to know all candidates briefly (free chemistry call, approx. 15 min.) before you make a binding decision on the most suitable one.
You will receive the invoice for the entire coaching session directly after booking. Unused coaching hours after the one-year period of use expire and will not be refunded. Together with your coach , you are responsible for ensuring that you use the remaining units in good time.
The proposal we send you contains three profiles of coaches who have undergone a four-stage selection process and therefore meet the highest quality criteria on the coaching market. The recommended coaches are particularly familiar with your specified topic (your "main reason" for coaching, e.g. conflict, leadership or stress) and meet your individual requirements. We make sure that you receive three coach profiles that are as diverse as possible so that you have a choice of different personalities. If there is still no person who meets your requirements, please get in touch with our customer service team and we will find a solution together.
The coach will contact you to arrange the first appointment.
When you make a binding booking for a coach, a certain amount of time is released (e.g. 6 hours, depending on the package you have booked), which you can use flexibly and in a way that suits you. How long a coaching session lasts (e.g. 60 minutes or 90 minutes) and at what intervals depends very much on your personal situation: the topic, your time availability or the urgency. Your personal resources and capacity to work productively on the issues discussed until the next coaching session also influence the course of your coaching. Very few sessions last less than an hour - the first session is often a little longer. In many coaching processes, several weeks pass between two sessions.

At the end of the coaching process, we invite you to voluntarily provide feedback on the coaching or on your coach . We use this feedback to obtain as much information as possible about the coaches listed with us and to be able to use them optimally in the future. In this way, you help to ensure the quality of the coaching services provided by Haufe Coaching in the long term.
You realize that you need more time to work on the goals and topics you have defined in more detail. This can be particularly true in situations of major change, when taking on new leadership roles, etc. In this case, simply submit a new request for further coaching towards the end of the first coaching process. You are also welcome to include the name of the coach you would like to continue working with in your request.
Costs vary depending on the management level and the desired amount of time. A coaching process can include between 3 and 10 coaching hours and is always charged in 60-minute sessions, but does not have to be held in 60-minute stages. If you decide not to take advantage of the coaching or to cancel it, you will find all the information you need in our Terms and conditions under Cancellation conditions.
You can use your booked coaching hours for 12 months from the date of booking. Unused minutes expire after this period. We and your coach will remind you so that you can plan your open sessions in good time. You can extend your coaching at any time by rebooking and naming your preferred coach.
There are no fees for rebooking individual coaching sessions, provided you inform your coach in text form 24 hours before the appointment. If you change your booking less than 24 hours before the agreed appointment, the session will be charged in full.
Quality
The coaches go through a multi-stage selection process before we accept them into the Haufe Coach Community. After a CV screening and an initial (usually telephone) meeting, in which the basic requirements are checked, we meet for a personal interview. This is used to check professional and methodological expertise as well as appearance, personality and values.
Our criteria are very high. In addition to at least 500 hours of coaching activity and correspondingly demonstrable coaching experience, we ensure that a:e coach has relevant professional experience, usually their own management experience. Our coaches have an average of at least 110 hours of coaching training, usually far more. Continuous further training and supervision are a prerequisite.
When you submit a coaching request, only you, the team responsible for the matching process and the coaches explicitly requested for you can view the request. Your contact details will only be activated for this coach once you have decided on and confirmed a coach .
No one other than you and your chosen coach will have any insight into the content of your coaching sessions! There is absolute, 100% confidentiality between you and your coach.
Basics
Team Coaching is a coaching process in which we work specifically with the whole team. The focus is on increasing efficiency, improving cooperation within the team and strengthening the sense of unity. The aim of team coaching is to increase collective performance in the long term and to strengthen the team's work and performance skills. Team Coaching is characterized by the fact that the problem-solving skills of all attendees are included.
In contrast to individual coaching, the clarification of the assignment, the preliminary discussion with the team, debriefing and preparation and follow-up by the coach takes more time in Team Coaching than in individual coaching.
Typical occasions for Team Coaching are, for example, a new team composition, the resolution of a conflict or team development in order to recognize existing dynamics and break up old patterns. Other occasions may include working in an intercultural team or restructuring within a team.
Team Coaching is suitable both as an accompanying measure for a longer-term team development strategy and for short-term issues and challenges that need to be resolved within a team.
In a team workshop, a team or group works intensively on a specialist topic for a limited period of time. The manager manager sets the framework and structure of the workshop. Team Coaching focuses on the team and its team issues. The role of the coach is that of a neutral process facilitator. The aim of team coaching is to discover, strengthen and bring out the team's existing resources. The Haufe Akademie supports you with both team workshops and Team Coaching.
You decide - because it's your coaching and your concern! Regardless of whether you are in a difficult team situation or want to make your team fit for the future: You decide the topic you want to work on.
You decide how you would like to conduct the Team Coaching , whether face-to-face, online or hybrid. The face-to-face format often lends itself to more intensive work, but you decide together with your coach where and how you would like to conduct the coaching.

Our Team Coaching(S, M and L) are based on our many years of experience with other teams. If there is no suitable package for you, you can also book Team Coaching by the hour.
The coach will contact you for an initial briefing and, if necessary, a preliminary discussion with the team. The first coaching session is then planned.
With your binding booking of a coach, a certain amount of time is released (depending on the package booked, e.g. 6 hours), which you can allocate flexibly and in a way that suits you.
How long a Team Coaching lasts (e.g. 60 minutes or half a day to a whole day) and at what intervals depends very much on your situation: The topic, your time availability and the urgency are often the deciding factors here.
In many coaching processes, several weeks pass between two sessions. If any issues remain after the coaching session, you can book another Team Coaching with the same person or another coach at any time.
We work with a fixed hourly rate. A team coaching process usually lasts between 6 and 14 hours. A coaching process is always charged at 60 minutes, but does not have to be held in 60-minute stages. If you decide not to take advantage of the Team Coaching or to cancel it, you will find all the information you need in our Terms and conditions under Cancellation conditions.
Travel and accommodation costs may also be incurred for on-site Team Coaching . In principle, we endeavor to suggest coaches from your area for on-site team coaching sessions. However, if a journey > 50 km is necessary, travel and accommodation costs may be incurred for the coach .
As stated in our Terms and conditions conditions, there are no fees for rebooking individual Team Coaching if the rebooking is made earlier than three weeks before the date. In the event of a later rebooking, there are staggered costs; you will find the staggered costs in our Terms and conditions Conditions. If you change your booking less than 24 hours before the agreed date, the session will be charged as if it had actually taken place. The rebooking is made directly with your coach in text form.
Recording process
To be listed as a coach at Haufe Business Coaching, you will go through a multi-stage selection process. Decisive criteria for inclusion in the Haufe Coach Community include a broad methodological coaching education, at least 500 hours of coaching experience and many years of professional experience. Here you can find out whether we are currently accepting coaches into our coaches and what requirements you need to meet.
Our clients are mostly large companies. The coaching that they are prepared to support (and therefore also pay for) should always have a direct context/relationship to the business. Since the coachees are almost exclusively executives with high demands and complex corporate realities (matrix structures, a multitude of competing tasks, etc.), a strong basic understanding of business contexts is a prerequisite for admission to the Haufe Coach Community.
Haufe Coaching enables companies that have regular coaching needs to access a selective pool of certified, excellent coaches. This is why only individuals can apply to Haufe Coaching and then become part of the community upon acceptance. At the same time, however, there is nothing to prevent all coaches of a small coaching/consulting/organizational development company from applying to the Haufe Coach Community and then being present on the platform if they qualify through the admission process.
Process and procedure
The coachee creates a request via our Haufe Akademie website. This is matched with the coaching profiles of the coaches listed on our website. Points such as region, content focus or language play a role here. The coaches in question then receive an e-mail with information about the new request and can "apply" for it or express their interest in the request by writing an application text. In the end, the coachee receives a 3-person proposal and decides on a coach based on the profile and cover letter and, if necessary, a short interview. You will then either receive an acceptance email with the instruction to contact the coachee to arrange an appointment - or a rejection email.
Coaching sessions can be selected from three to a maximum of ten hours. This quota is valid for 12 months and must be used within this period. Unused coaching sessions expire. How (over what period of time and how long individual coaching sessions last) you "work off" this quota is up to you and the coachee(s).
Unfortunately, we can only estimate this with difficulty. It depends on how much coaching is in demand in the individual companies, but also on the fit between your profile and the respective requests.
There are no fees for rebooking individual coaching sessions, provided your coachee informs you in text form 24 hours before the appointment. If you rebook less than 24 hours before the agreed appointment, you will be charged for the session in full so that you do not suffer any disadvantage from the last-minute cancellation.
Pricing and billing
Fee levels (hourly rate or total budget for the coaching process) and/or the number of approved minutes per coaching process vary from company to company and will be stated in the coaching request you receive. You then decide whether this matches your expectations and you apply for this request.
No. As described in the framework agreement, which you confirm at the beginning of your cooperation with the Haufe Akademie , the Haufe Akademie is your contractual partner - therefore you issue the invoice to the Haufe Akademie.
Rights and obligations
No - of course not. If a request is advertised by a company/coachee, you decide for yourself whether you want to apply for it or not.
The fit between the coachee's request and your coaches is decisive in determining whether a coaching request is suitable for you. Among other things, the coachee's wishes regarding the coach (es) as well as the local proximity and the focus of the content are decisive.
Confidentiality and data protection
We take the protection of your data very seriously. For all information on this, please refer to our privacy policy or point 9 of our framework agreement.
As a coach , you are obliged to comply with the applicable data protection regulations of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (if in Europe) or the applicable data protection laws of the country in which the coaching takes place. This topic is described in detail under point 9 of our framework agreement and in the confidentiality agreement.
Advantages of Haufe Coaching
Haufe Coaching represents a strong acquisition channel for exciting coaching requests and gives you the opportunity to work as a coach for completely new companies. If you were already listed with a company and now "have to" requalify, this may seem tedious at first - but you will see that the process will be much smoother for you in the future and that you will also position yourself for requests from other companies by being listed with Haufe Coaching.
The Haufe Coach Community is a network of highly competent and experienced coaches - as part of this community you can regularly exchange ideas with other like-minded people.
Coaching Booking Tool
If you are a PE/HR manager, team lead or assistant and would like to book business coaching for someone else, use our Coaching Booking Tool. You take care of purchasing the coaching and select individual coaching packages for the participants. After your binding booking, you will receive the invoice within 2 working days. The people booked in will receive an invitation by e-mail to complete the coaching enquiry form. Within 48 hours, we will suggest three suitable coach profiles. Once a suitable coach has been selected, coaching can begin immediately and continue for 12 months.
Yes, the booking tool allows you to book coaching sessions for several employees at the same time. There is neither a minimum purchase nor a maximum number of coaching bookings.
The maximum number of participants within a booking process is 12. If you want to book more than 12 coaching sessions at the same time, you can send another booking with the next participants directly after your booking.
There are no separate costs for the booking tool. You will receive this service from us as the person placing the order. You can find transparent prices for the business coaching sessions on our homepage. The price depends on the level of the coachee.
With your booking, the number of coaching sessions booked is binding.
The coach and the participant are independently responsible for arranging appointments. The following applies: there are no fees for the rebooking of individual coaching sessions, provided that the coach has been informed of this in text form 24 hours before the appointment. In the event of rebooking less than 24 hours before the agreed appointment, the session will be charged in full.
Your admin dashboard gives you an overview of all booked coaching sessions. You can also see the current status of the individual coaching sessions that have taken place, as well as how much of the contingent is still open.
As the content of the coaching session is confidential between the coach and the coachee, you will only be given an insight into the main reason for the coaching stated in the request.
No. Based on the answers given by the participant, the Haufe Coaching Team selects the three most suitable coach profiles and proposes them to the coachee by e-mail . To ensure an effective coaching process, the decision on the choice of coach lies with the coachee. General information about the quality of our coaches can be found here.
At the end of the coaching session, we invite the coachee to voluntarily provide feedback on the coaching and the coach . Yes, you can initiate a new booking process for the coachee directly via your admin dashboard and thus book a follow-up coaching session.
Yes, when you book coaching for someone else, it is a binding booking. With the booking tool, we have simplified the administrative procurement process for coaching and created a constantly updated overview of booked coaching sessions with the admin dashboard. If you are unsure, you are welcome to arrange a personal consultation with us.
Coaching Management Platform
A coaching platform is an online platform that connects people with qualified coaches who are suitable for the occasion in order to promote personal and professional growth. The coaching platform is maximally adaptable to the organizational and procedural needs and systems of a company.
The platform connects coaches and coachees via individual profiles. Coachees enter their needs and occasions and an AI suggests three suitable coaches. After a chemistry check, the coachee selects the coach and books directly. The coaching sessions take place either remotely or in face-to-face meetings - depending on preference.

Yes, the platform can be flexibly adapted to your processes and internal systems. It supports the connection to common purchasing systems such as SAP, Coupa or ARIBA as well as to the education history. Additional approval processes and other features can also be easily integrated.
Yes, you can invite your own coaches to the platform. After registration, they become part of a company-specific pool that is used together with the Haufe Coach Pool for AI-based matching.
