My training to become an Agile Transformation Manager

In this testimonial, Stephan shares how the Future Jobs Class helped him, as an Agile Transformation Manager, to guide organizational change in a structured way, reassess his own strengths, and confidently take on new professional roles.

“The Agile Transformation Master Class has shown me that change is, above all, a matter of attitude. Today, I’m approaching roles I hadn’t even considered before with a clear mindset and new perspectives.”

My conclusion on the Future Jobs Class:

“This training has shown me that successful change doesn’t start with tools, but with attitude, clarity, and getting people on board.”

Why I chose continuing education decided to

“I originally came from a background in project quality management and am currently in the process of reorienting my career. In doing so, I’ve realized that what I enjoy most is working with people and shaping change processes,” says Stephan Lennartz, summarizing his career to date. At the same time, he immersed himself in AI and the potential it holds for businesses. He wanted to understand what lies behind the implementation of such technology and, above all, how to get people on board with it.

Looking for a continuing education program that offered a certificate and combined theory with practice, he used AI to compare different options. In the end, it wasn’t the title that made the difference, but the content: “I never would have thought I’d choose a course like this, but when I saw the modules and content of the Master Class, I knew right away—this is a good fit for me, and I want to learn more about it.”

“I didn’t want to just deal with change intuitively; I wanted to understand the concepts and methods behind it.”

Hi, future me. Practicality you can feel

For Stephan, the combination of self-directed learning, interactive webinars, and group discussions was the key to his success. “It was a really great mix. No matter which of the four coaches we worked with, they all took the time to discuss our questions. In breakout sessions, we worked on assignments in small groups and then presented them to the whole group. All the sessions were lively and interactive.”

He found the coaches’ practical experience particularly valuable. Instead of relying solely on theory, they shared their own examples drawn from years of work on transformation projects: “You could tell they came from the field. Because these are personal stories, the content sticks with you much better.”

Interacting with his fellow students was also very rewarding for Stephan. “The group was very diverse, with people from many different industries and generations. It was really exciting. You could see that the challenges of dealing with change are often very similar,” Stephan sums it up.

“Real-world examples are worth their weight in gold. Because they’re personal stories drawn from actual work, they stick with you much better—unlike when someone just explains the theory.”

Mindset trumps method – my most important “aha” moment

One moment during his professional development left a particularly strong impression on Stephan. During a webinar on agility, it became clear that Kanban, Scrum, and other frameworks are merely tools. The real key lies in one’s mindset.

“Tools only make sense if they fit the situation. The biggest factor is mindset—both your own and that of others.” This realization gave him the confidence to apply for roles even when he lacked traditional methodological experience. “I’ve always had this mindset. Now I also have the structure and background to apply it consciously.”

“Change is all around us today. In the master class, I learned how to deal with it constructively, what really matters, and how to bring others along for the ride.”

New Perspectives Through personal coaching

The master class included two one-on-one coaching sessions that opened up entirely new perspectives for Stephan. The coaches provided him with personalized feedback and encouraged him to apply for positions in change management and organizational development.

“Those were areas I hadn’t even considered—I thought I was too far removed from them. Now I see that those are exactly where my strengths lie.” For Stephan, this path isn’t a break with the past. “It’s not like a baker suddenly becoming a hairdresser. I’m still baking—but now I’m making cakes, too.”

My tip for anyone who want to actively shape change :

“Choose the timing of your training carefully,” Stephan recommends. “If possible, eliminate other distractions—that’s the only way you can really engage with the material.”

His second tip: Use AI strategically for your own learning. He himself used AI to create a personal playbook from all the materials, supplemented by podcast versions of key content. “This gives me my very own set of resources—with sources, links, and direct answers to my questions. It helps me solidify my knowledge even after the course is over and tap into it again and again.”

Stephan would recommend the master class to anyone who deals with transformation and change in their day-to-day work—regardless of age, industry, or role. Whether you’re a manager or a specialist, what matters most is having a growth mindset and a desire to actively shape change.

“Anyone dealing with change today—and that’s most people—who is motivated to grow will find that the Master Class provides the structure, mindset, and practical tips needed to make a real difference.”
