FAQ: Your conference as a live broadcast
What is the learning environment and how do I register?
Your learning environment is available to you from the moment you book your event. In your learning environment, you will find all booked and completed events as well as important information and documents relating to the respective event. If you have not already done so, please register in advance and assign yourself a password at www.haufe-akademie.de/login. Please visit your learning environment before the start of your next event.
Where can I find the link to my event?
You will find the link to your event in your learning environment in a separate tile in your learning path.
Do I have to download a desktop app?
No. You can simply join the meeting via your browser. The livestream will be broadcast using an HTML5 player that works in all the latest generation of browsers.
When can I enter the event room?
The event room will open 15 minutes before the start. You can then already enter your event room.
Do I need a special technology check?

we recommend that you check early on, at least 2 days before your event, whether your system meets the specific requirements for live transmission.
You will receive further instructions and information on this shortly before your event and in your personal learning environment.

The room does not open or the link does not work.
Please close the application and delete your browser history and cookies. Close the browser and try to enter the room again. We recommend using Google Chrome.

How can I ask questions to the trainers ?
To get in touch with the trainers during the event and ask questions, please use the question window below the live stream. Only the moderator can see your question and pass it on to the speaker.
I can see the stream but I can't hear anything.
Please check that the correct output media is set. Make sure that your headset is already connected and stored as an output medium in your system settings.
Will the event be recorded?
No. The event will not be recorded during a live broadcast.

Tips for the optimal online event
- Make sure that you can take part in your event from an undisturbed location. This will allow you to concentrate fully on your training.
- Take part in your event via a desktop PC or laptop/notebook. Participation via cell phone or tablet is not possible or only possible to a very limited extent.
- We recommend Google Chrome as the browser for participating in your event.
- Prepare your seat. Have paper and pens ready to take notes and stock up on drinks.
- Do the system check in good time. Ideally at least 2 days before the start of your event. If there are internal company settings that restrict access to your camera, for example, your IT department can support you in advance.
- Connect your headset and camera (if you are participating with a desktop PC) and set them as output media in the system settings before you enter the event room.
- To avoid distractions and disruptions and to increase connection stability, please close all applications that access the Internet. Apps, mail programs, VPN client, etc.
- For a stable Internet connection, we recommend using a LAN cable.
- Before you enter the event room, delete the cookies in your browser.
