Basics of supply chain controlling

  • Objectives, areas of responsibility and benefits - an overview of the key figures.

Control variables in the supply chain

  • Supplier management: including delivery service level, supplier evaluation, importance of Incoterms.
  • Control supply chain processes: e.g. productivity, throughput time, error rate.
  • Inventory controlling in SC: including raw materials, semi-finished products, finished articles, ABC/XYZ analysis, sediment analysis, stock range, forecast accuracy.
  • Production controlling: e.g. flow rate, OEE, set-up times, throughput time.
  • Warehouse and dispatch in the SC: including productivity, daily up-to-dateness, warehouse fill level, order structure.
  • Delivery performance: including ROTIF, perfect order, order throughput time, delivery service level.
  • Transport controlling: including customer, sales and shipment structure, transit times, costs per shipment/customer stop/kg, downtimes.
  • Costs in SC: Total Cost of SC, logistics costs in relation to sales, determination of process costs.
  • Development of key figures for your own practice, illustration using numerous practical examples.
