Manage exports efficiently and process them professionally

This training is held in German.
You need to manage your exports efficiently and in compliance with the law on a daily basis, because errors such as export control violations or missing export documentation can have costly consequences. We teach you how to organize your export process in a legally correct and effective manner: You will be familiar with the basic provisions of export control, know how to proceed with operational export processing - from the required documentation to reporting obligations - and be able to protect yourself against export risks.

Legal framework

  • Legal basis for foreign trade business: Foreign Trade Act (AWG), goods origin/preference law, Union Customs Code (UCC), etc.

Export control

  • Subject of export control, legal basis, dual-use regulation, embargoes, anti-terrorism regulation, licensing requirements, sanctions for violations.
  • Organization of export control in the company, work/organizational instructions, the person responsible for exports.

Operational steps in export processing

  • Requirements for the export business.
  • Classification of products/goods (list of goods).
  • Compliance with legal and technical requirements.
  • EU shipping: documents, accompanying papers: e.g. delivery bill, supplier's declaration.
  • Export to third countries: required export documents, normal procedure, ATLAS export, Internet customs declaration IAA Plus, default concept, etc.

Shipping and export documentation

  • Transport/export documents: including forwarding order, bill of lading (B/L), pro forma invoice, movement certificate EUR1/ATR.

International trade clauses

  • Transfer of costs/risks, insurance obligation, etc.

Packaging, marking

  • Packaging factors, types of packaging, etc.; provisions on marking.

Reporting obligations in the export business

  • Tax/statistical reporting obligations (e.g. INTRASTAT reporting); obligations to provide evidence (e.g. exit note [AGV], confirmation of arrival).

Terms of payment, export financing

  • Terms of payment: including advance payment, letters of credit, clean payment.
  • Export financing: including documentary letters of credit, export factoring.

Instruments for hedging export risks, receivables management

  • Export credit insurance, transport insurance, guarantees/guarantees, exchange rate hedging, etc.

People, export terminology

  • Authorized representative of origin, authorized exporter (AEO), authorized consignor/exporter, authorized economic operator (AEO), known consignor, etc.
