Using and applying AI in process management
From the basics to specific AI use cases, workflows, and implementation
Contents
Fundamentals of AI tools and prompt engineering
- Introduction to AI tools and prompt engineering (targeted formulation of inputs for AI tools).
- Definition of artificial intelligence and key concepts of generative AI tools.
- Typical use cases for generative AI along your own processes and tasks in process management.
Intelligent prompts and dialogues with AI tools
- Roles of user prompts, system prompts, history (chat history), and memories in AI tools.
- Development, adaptation, and design of effective dialogue structures and prompts.
- Dealing with context control and critically questioning AI results.
Ensuring quality: checking and improving results
- Critical review and iterative improvement of AI interaction.
- Avoiding typical pitfalls and types of errors (e.g., hallucinations, loss of context).
- Best practices, dos and don'ts, own use cases.
AI use cases and workflows in your process management
- Systematic analysis of AI use cases from real challenges in your process management.
- Assessment and evaluation of use cases based on effort, benefits, and risk factors.
- Handy-on Development and testing of at least three ready-to-use AI workflows based on the most relevant AI use cases, e.g.
- Process history assistant
- Feedback Analyzer
- Automation Potential Scout
- SOP Generator (Standard Operating Procedure)
- Lessons Learned AI
- Practical application and simulation on your own processes and areas of responsibility.
Action plan for AI integration in your process management
- Development of concrete measures for the steps from the first prototype to stable rollout in your department/company.
- Customized stakeholder analysis and consideration of typical barriers to implementation in AI-based process innovations.
- Designing effective change management and communication strategies.
Learning environment
In your online learning environment, you will find useful information, downloads and extra services for this training course once you have registered.
Your benefit
- You understand the basic mechanisms of generative AI and can systematically develop new tools—even if the interface of the AI tools changes.
- You have access to customized prompt templates that you can use immediately in process management and learn how to efficiently develop new ones.
- You increase your productivity and confidence in dealing with AI, prevent incorrect AI results, critically review results, and continuously improve quality.
- You can systematically develop AI use cases in process management and take away concrete, practiced, and ready-to-use AI workflows that you can use and adapt for your own process optimizations.
- You are able to design AI-supported process solutions, successfully support their implementation, and are familiar with methodological and communicative tools to ensure their acceptance.
- You benefit from reflection and peer exchange to reflect on your own challenges and develop viable solutions for your process management.
The content of this training supports the verification of AI competence promotion within the meaning of Art. 4 EU AI Regulation.
Methods
Input, discussion, group work, best practice examples, working aids, live development of use cases and workflows with the AI tool of your choice (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Halerium).
All use cases are covered training by step in training , from conception to implementation in a business context, and can be adapted and adopted for your own processes.
Tool
Recommended for
process managers, project managers, project managers, organizational developers, digitalization managers, and executives—in short, anyone with process responsibility who is responsible for designing, optimizing, or (partially) automating business processes and wants to implement AI in their processes in a targeted manner.
Note:
This training not an advanced seminar based on 42545 – "Kickstart: AI in Process Management," but rather a standalone, in-depth basic seminar as an alternative option to Kickstart.
