Our distance learning courses are perfect for you if you want to acquire comprehensive specialist knowledge and put it directly into practice - flexibly and without stress. You can decide for yourself when and where you want to study and you are free to organize your own learning conditions.

A distance learning course offers you maximum flexibility: you determine your learning pace and can learn when it suits you. Only courses with online seminars have fixed dates for these virtual meetings with our instructors. Otherwise, you are completely free to organize your time as you wish.
A distance learning course is also worthwhile financially: you save on travel costs and time off work. What's more, a Haufe Akademie will significantly boost your career prospects! Completing a course on your own also shows organizational talent, initiative and commitment - qualities that go down well with employers.

At the start of the course, all content is available to you digitally in your personal online learning environment - you can also download it as a PDF here. For some courses, you will also receive printed materials by post around seven days after the start of the course. In the online learning environment, you will also find helpful work aids, interactive learning checks and access to a community for exchanging ideas with other participants.

It depends on your own pace! As a guide, we recommend around five hours per week in order to make continuous progress. But don't worry: you decide your own learning pace - that's one of the biggest advantages of a distance learning course.

Of course! Your online learning environment is activated for 12 months from the start date. Within this year, you have enough time to work on all content at your own pace. If necessary, you can extend the access period once by six months free of charge.

The duration depends on how intensively you study and how many learning units the course has. With around five hours per week, you could complete a course in four to six months - but again, you set your own pace! You have access to all content for a total of 12 months. We are happy to offer you a one-off free extension of six months if required.

Yes, after the regular 12 months have expired, you can extend your account once for a further six months free of charge. However, additional extensions will incur costs - simply contact our customer service at service@haufe-akademie.de.

At the end of each learning unit, there is a learning check that you can use to test your knowledge - as often as necessary! The feedback helps you to see where you stand and what needs to be deepened.

You will find everything you need in your personal online learning environment: from learning assessments and sample solutions to additional e-learning or work aids. Here you will also become part of a community to exchange ideas with other participants.

For many of our courses, you have the option of taking an exam - either booked at a reduced price as a package right at the start or added later. You can find the details online on the respective course page.

Yes! In our online community, you can not only network and exchange ideas, but also receive up-to-date information and additional specialist articles from tutors or experts in the field of your course.

Written documents are supplemented by a modern online learning environment with numerous digital learning materials - ideal for flexible learning in between! Everything is conveniently available to you in your personal online learning environment.

Absolutely! Our courses are regularly reviewed and updated by leading experts ; some have even received university certifications. So you always work on the basis of the latest knowledge.

Our authors are experienced practitioners and experts from business and academia. For courses that are delivered with printed material, you do not need internet access to read the learning units or to acquire the specialist knowledge. However, additional content such as extensive work aids, modern e-learning and interactive learning checks to test your own knowledge are only available to you via the online learning environment. This additional content cannot be accessed without internet access. Furthermore, it is not possible to use the online community or take part in the online seminars and e-exams without internet access.

For courses that are delivered without a printed document, constant Internet access is an advantage for the learning experience. To enable offline learning, we also offer all learning units/modules as PDF downloads.

We therefore recommend Internet access to make full use of all the learning content of our distance learning courses.

The learning content of our distance learning courses is stored in digital form in your personal learning environment and can therefore also be accessed on the move. In individual cases, it may be necessary to install a corresponding app for optimal viewing.

Almost all of our distance learning courses have additional online seminars. Online seminars are virtual events that take place at a fixed time with speakers. Various dates are offered throughout the year for all topics, for which you can register independently via your online learning environment. Participation in the online seminars is optional and not compulsory in order to successfully complete the distance learning course.

The invoice amount is due after the start of the distance learning course. We offer an installment payment model for all distance learning courses. In the case of payment by installments, the invoice amount is due in three installments every four weeks. The first installment is due on the start date.

If you pay for your distance learning course yourself and do not have it financed by your employer, you can usually deduct the costs from your tax bill. It is important that the further training serves your professional advancement - either in your current job or if you change jobs. If this is the case, you can declare the expenses as income-related expenses in your income tax return.

If you are an entrepreneur, you can also claim the costs of further training for your employees as a business expense. The best way to find out exactly how this works is to contact your tax advisor.

At the end of your distance learning course, you will receive a confirmation of participation from us, which documents your participation and lists the content of the course. If you successfully complete the optional exam during your distance learning course, you will also receive a graded certificate. This allows you to increase your career opportunities and improve your professional position with the Haufe Academy certificate.

In this way, we guarantee the high professional quality of our content.

As a certified "Registered Education Provider" by the PMI® (Project Management Institute), the Haufe Akademie is authorized to award contact hours and PDUs (Professional Development Units) for participation in seminars, training courses and e-learning.
