Career entry for first-time graduates

With our partner ArbeiterKind.de

The partnership
Be the first to study

With courage and
experienced support

ArbeiterKind.de provides encouragement: our partner's several thousand volunteers accompany first-generation students on their individual educational path - with personal experience, practical know-how and perseverance.

The volunteers have experienced similar things and know the worries of first-generation students very well: fear of debt and the feeling of losing touch with a non-academic family are just some of them. Added to this is the uncertainty of starting a career. ArbeiterKind.de helps to overcome these hurdles.

After your studies is before you start your career

Overcoming another hurdle

The entry into academic professions poses particular challenges for many first-time graduates: In contrast to starting out after a company-based or
school-based education, there are often personal uncertainties and career-related questions.

The career entry program and mentoring from ArbeiterKind.de provides guidance here: students and graduates seeking advice receive personal support from mentors who are already working - for a successful start to their first job.

How our partnership works

We support our partner ArbeiterKind.de in all aspects of career entry for young people who are the first in their family of origin to study.

A successful start to your first job

ArbeiterKind.de's career entry program combines mentoring, workshops and webinars that specifically prepare you for your first job. In mentoring, graduates seeking advice are brought together with volunteer mentors with professional experience. They benefit from their practical input and personal experience in the professional world.

Every year, the partnership with the Haufe Akademie enables twenty young professionals and their mentors to receive support - from database-supported registration to matching those seeking advice with mentors and individual support from the Arbeiterkind.de coordination team. Workshops, webinars and an intranet exchange round off the program, to which the Haufe Akademie contributes its experience.

"Together and with the experience of the Haufe Akademie , we can provide even better support for first-time graduates entering the world of work. This collaboration strengthens our commitment and opens up even more opportunities for young people."
