

This course covers the following key aspects of Microsoft 365 administration: Microsoft 365 tenant management, Microsoft 365 identity synchronization, and Microsoft 365 security and compliance.
In the Microsoft 365 tenant management module, you will learn how to configure your Microsoft 365 tenant, including your organizational profile, tenant subscription options, component services, user accounts and licenses, security groups, and administrator roles. You will then move on to configuring Microsoft 365, with a focus on configuring Office client connectivity. Finally, you will learn how to manage user-driven client installations of Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise deployments.
The course then moves on to an in-depth examination of Microsoft 365 identity synchronization, with a focus on Azure Active Directory Connect and Azure AD Connect cloud synchronization. You’ll learn how to plan and implement the various directory synchronization options, manage synchronized identities, and implement password management in Microsoft 365 using multi-factor authentication and self-service password management.
In Microsoft 365 Security Administration, you’ll start by examining the common types of threat vectors and data breaches that organizations face today. You’ll then learn how Microsoft 365 security solutions address each of these threats. You’ll become familiar with the Microsoft Security Assessment and Azure Active Directory Identity Protection. Next, you’ll learn how to manage Microsoft 365 security services, including Exchange Online Protection, Secure Attachments, and Secure Links. Finally, you’ll become familiar with the various reports used to monitor your organization’s security health. The topic then shifts from security services to threat intelligence. Specifically, the use of Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is covered.
Once you are familiar with the Microsoft 365 security suite, you will learn about the key components of Microsoft 365 compliance management. You will start with an overview of all key aspects of data governance, including data archiving and retention, Microsoft Purview message encryption, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). You will then delve deeper into archiving and retention, with a particular focus on Microsoft Purview’s insider risk management, information barriers, and DLP policies. You will then explore how these compliance features are implemented using data classification and confidentiality labels.
Requirements
This course consists of training training and is led by a trainer who supervises the participants live. Theory and practice are taught with live demonstrations and practical exercises. The video conferencing software Zoom is used.
