  • Control via target setting and key performance indicators (KPIs) - operational and strategic, hard and soft targets, early and lagging indicators - leading and lagging KPIs.
  • Comparison of different performance management systems: Management by Objectives (MBO) vs. "Objectives and Key Results (OKR)" vs. Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
  • Top-down vs. collaborative goal setting.
