Excel is the tool of choice for controllers to solve various tasks. This course teaches you basic working techniques for working efficiently with Excel in controlling. You will gain a sound introduction to Excel calculation functions, pivot tables, data import and data cleansing using Power Query for fully automated data analysis. This course lays the foundation for data evaluation and analysis with Excel in Controlling.

Recommended procedure

E-learning:

Basic knowledge of controlling (1.5 hours).

Compulsory seminars:

Excel for controllers 2 days).
Power Query: Extract and transform data to Excel and Power BI (2 days).

E-test:

Certified Excelspecialist controlling.

As part of the course, you will complete an e-learning course and two compulsory seminars and qualify as a Certified specialist Specialist in Controlling in four days. The content and topics are systematically coordinated and complement each other. We recommend attending the seminars in the order shown.

You decide when and where you complete which training within two years. You can book the seminars individually or at an affordable package price.

After attending the seminar, you can take the e-exam at a time of your choice. After successfully passing the final exam, you will receive the Haufe Akademie certificate "Certified Excel specialist in Controlling" according to the exam result.

By using Power Query professionally, you will be able to improve your work efficiency in the time-consuming tasks of data preparation in Excel and Power BI.
You will learn how to automatically import external data from various sources into your evaluations and how to modify it so that you can use the processed data to evaluate your reports in just a few simple steps.
You will get to know the extensive toolbox of Power Query, from simple data changes such as splitting data into several columns to complex data transformations.
You will get to know Power Query by means of many practical examples and can thus apply what you have learned directly in practice.
You document your learning success: After the qualification, you can take an e-exam and receive a certificate from the Haufe Akademie in addition to confirmation of participation according to the exam result.

Basic knowledge of Excel is a prerequisite for participation. Special knowledge of Excel 365 is not required.

The prerequisite for passing the e-exam is successful participation in the two compulsory seminars.

Exam contents

The contents of the compulsory seminars are relevant to the examination. You will work on practical tasks and knowledge questions.

Form of examination

The e-exam is an online-based exam on your PC and lasts 60 minutes. You can take the exam in the comfort of your own home at a time of your choosing. The exam is based on single or multiple-choice questions. Once you have completed the exam, you will immediately see whether you have passed or failed.
