• Toolkit: Claude Pro and Claude Max, Artifacts, Projects, Connectors, MCP, Claude Code, Cowork, and Claude in Excel.

• Best practices in prompt engineering for tables, time series, and text: objective, data context, format, validation, follow-up prompt.

2. Practical micro-case studies using real financial data

• Time-series analysis: monthly sales, cost trends, seasonality.

• Table extraction from annual reports and electronic invoices (XRechnung, ZUGFeRD 2.0.1).

• Forecast preparation using scenario-based logic: Base, Optimistic, Pessimistic.

• Sentiment analysis in the management report and analyst commentary.

3. Theory in the Context of Practice

• Architecture, training logic, and limitations of current language models.

• Quality assurance: plausibility checks, verification questions, and the identification of hallucinations.

• Data protection, governance, and ethical considerations regarding the use of Claude.

• EU AI Act as of 2026 (AI Literacy, GPAI, Annex III for high-risk systems until December 2, 2027), GDPR, and EU hosting via AWS Bedrock Frankfurt or the Anthropic API with a DPA.

Day 2: Training Project: From Raw Data Set to Dashboard

Goal 

You'll create a strategic management dashboard that is automatically populated by Claude:

• Key financial metrics: Revenue, margin, EBIT, cash flow, working capital, liquidity ratios.

• Forecast data for 3, 6, and 12 months.

• Analysis of trends, outliers, and recommendations for action.

• A clearly structured summary assessment for stakeholders.

Procedure

• Provide the data: an Excel file and a PDF report.

• Extraction and interpretation using Claude Projects, Artifacts, and Connectors.

• Perform and integrate forecast simulations using Claude Code.

• Generate automatic text templates for management communications.

• Compile the output as a Word document, PDF, or presentation, optionally using the Claude in Excel add-in or Cowork.
