Contracts are rarely perfect - as Oliver Hart (MIT) made clear in his fundamental contribution to contract theory (Nobel Prize in Economics 2016). After the contract has been concluded, there are often different interpretations, especially when it comes to the question of which services are part of the contract and which are not (in-scope/on-scope question). Additional services require change requests, which make projects such as Toll Collect, the Elbphilharmonie concert hall or Berlin Airport either expensive or successful - depending on the perspective. Effective claim management is indispensable in today's world, especially in view of current delivery bottlenecks and price increases. This intensive course teaches the basics of contract law, introduces different types of contracts and provides confidence in making and defending claims. In addition, skills for confident contract negotiations in unclear legal situations are taught. The aim is to minimize legal risks and manage contracts successfully.
