A well-founded answer to this question is the first step and often determines the success or failure of a project. This training shows you ways to take stakeholders along on the long journey to the goal in order to successfully complete your project.

Understanding project management as a process

  • Definition: What are stakeholders? What is a project?
  • The processes in project management.
  • Stakeholder management in the PDCA quality circle.

Objectives of stakeholder management

  • Strive to achieve common goals.
  • Practicing creativity.

Recognize stakeholders

  • Which persons, groups of persons or organizations are directly or indirectly affected by the project, want to be informed about it or can influence the course of the project?
  • Stakeholder directory and presentation of the results of the analysis using an influence/interest diagram to identify and present networks and hierarchies.
  • The Salience model as a supplement and alternative.

Plan stakeholder management

  • Determine the current and future motivation levels of the individual stakeholders.
  • Define the objectives of stakeholder management.

Involve stakeholders

  • Understanding team development.
  • Recognizing and understanding personality structures: From Herzberg to Maslow, Corell, the DISG model to the Riemann-Thomann model.
  • Motivate people.

Monitor and manage stakeholder participation

  • The "sell" project.
  • Do not lose sight of stakeholders. Observe changes.
  • Create a communication plan and collect feedback.
  • Breaking up conflicts.
