- Introduction to the basic principles of Power BI using Excel: formatting data as a table and evaluating it with pivot tables including data slices.
- BI terminology such as dimensions, facts, measures, etc. explained in an understandable way.
The ETL process within Power BI: extracting and transforming data from different sources
- Importing data from external sources such as Excel and CSV files, web data, etc..
- The query editor and its advantages.
- Importing more than 1 million records.
- Appending data from multiple tables.
Data visualization with Power BI using practical examples
- Visualization of, for example, time series with line and bar charts.
- The "Card" visual for visualizing individual numbers.

Please note the following installation instructions:
Microsoft Excel (Office 365 is recommended) with integrated Power BI (the free version is sufficient).
Recommended for
Controllers and users from other areas who want to import, prepare, analyze, and visualize large amounts of data from different sources.
A good basic knowledge of MS Excel is required for the seminar. The seminar is not suitable for Excel beginners. No prior knowledge of Power BI is necessary.
