This training is held in German.
This compact and practice-oriented training provides you with important basics for a better technical understanding in procurement, purchasing or sales. You will learn to read technical drawings and to recognize and understand technical correlations. You will also learn about production processes, manufacturing methods and machine tools in the metalworking industry. You will be able to discuss technical problems with your internal or external partners in a well-founded manner and set priorities in the interests of procurement or sales.

Reading and understanding technical drawings

  • Introduction "Technical drawing".
    • Drawing types, drawing formats, title blocks, display formats, etc.
  • Representation of components/workpieces.
    • Representation using various projection methods, representation using sections, etc.
  • Standard-compliant dimensioning of workpieces.
  • Tolerances for dimensions (according to 2768-1).
    • Nominal dimension, deviation, limit and actual dimensions, tolerance classes, general tolerances, etc.
  • Tolerances for shape and position (according to 2768-2).
  • Surface finish.
