Final training Payroll Accounting

Examination requirements

Participation in the basic training course (8902) and the advanced seminar (8762) is a prerequisite for participation in the final training course with examination. The basic training course can be skipped (self-test required) if proof of appropriate knowledge is provided.

Participation in the final training course with examination is also possible after successful completion of the distance learning course Payroll Accounting (30310).

Additional prerequisite for participation in the attendance dates

The online exam is carried out under supervision on a PC. You will need a WLAN-enabled mobile device (laptop or tablet) for this. Please note that participation in the face-to-face final training is only possible with your own laptop or tablet.

Additional requirement for participation in the live online appointments

The online exam is conducted under the supervision of your video camera/webcam and microphone on the PC. Please note that participation in the online final training is only possible with a functioning camera and microphone. 

Form of examination

The 3-hour exam is taken as part of an e-exam. The exam takes place in the afternoon of the second day of the final training course. The assessment is based on the 100-point system. At least 50 points are required to pass. If you pass, you will receive the "Certified Payroll Accountant" certificate with the exam grade and the number of points achieved.

Exam contents

In the written exam, you document your knowledge by completing practical tasks and answering knowledge questions on the relevant Payroll Accounting topics.

In the final training course, which immediately precedes the exam, you will be prepared for the written exam using relevant examples and exercises. Here you will repeat and train intensively on exam-relevant topics such as the correct coding of the contribution and person group of new employees, the assessment of current/one-off - regularly/irregularly paid remuneration and ELStAM.
