The Project Management Institute's PMP® certification is one of the most recognized qualifications in project management worldwide. It signals that you can manage projects in a structured, methodical manner and in accordance with international PMI® standards. Especially in global organizations, in the IT environment, and in project-driven companies, PMP® certification is often considered an important differentiator in job applications or promotions.
The training Haufe Akademie targeted Haufe Akademie to Haufe Akademie you prepare for this internationally recognized certification. Structured exam preparation, alignment with the current Examination Content Outline, and intensive work with exam-related scenarios will significantly increase your chances of passing and strengthen your position as a professional project manager.
To be eligible for the PMP® exam, PMI® requires verifiable project management experience: 36 months with a university degree or 60 months without a university degree, as well as 35 contact hours of formal project management training. In addition, you confirm your compliance with the PMI® Code of Conduct as part of the registration process .
The training you training exactly these 35 required contact hours. At the same time, you will receive practical advice on how to submit a structured application to the PMI®. This reduces formal risks during registration and directly links the fulfillment of admission requirements with in-depth PMP® exam preparation.
The exam is taken online —either at a location of your choice or at one of the Pearson VUE test centers.
The PMP® exam consists of 180 scenario-based multiple-choice questions and lasts a total of 240 minutes. You will receive your results immediately . It covers three key areas of expertise: people, process, and business environment. The exam does not test pure factual knowledge, but rather your ability to make informed decisions in realistic project situations, such as stakeholder conflicts, risk escalations, or prioritization decisions.
During training , you training precisely these decision-making situations. With extensive practice questions and simulations, you will learn to recognize typical PMI® logic, systematically evaluate answer options, and work in a structured manner even under time pressure. This will help you develop both methodological confidence and a clear strategy for the PMP® exam.
If you meet the listed eligibility requirements, you can register online with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for the PMP® exam.
As part of the application process , you must document your project management experience in detail, including tasks, responsibilities, and the duration of the projects. After submission, PMI® usually reviews the application within approximately 5 business days. Some applications are randomly selected for audit, in which case additional evidence is required. Once the application is accepted, you will receive exam approval and can book an appointment.
Preparing for the PMP® exam is challenging because it covers many areas of knowledge and expertise. Successful preparation is based on a clear structure, realistic learning goals, and regular self-assessment through practical exam simulations.
During training , you training a systematic learning framework, access to comprehensive PMP® documentation, and an exam simulation with over 1,000 exam-style questions. This allows you to identify your weaknesses early on and take targeted corrective action. As a result, your preparation will be more efficient and significantly more focused than if you were studying on your own.
After training , we training a two- to six-week self-study phase, depending on individual learning speed, knowledge, and professional expertise.
Once you have passed the exam, you are entitled to use the Project Management Professional (PMP)® designation for the next three years. To retain the designation beyond this three-year period, you must earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs)within this time frame.
The PDUs are based on the PMI Talent Triangle™ (Ways of Working, Power Skills, and Business Acumen). It should be noted that at least 8 PDUs must be earned in each competency area within the three-year cycle. One PDU corresponds to one hour of continuing education or project management activity.
