Talking helps, but it is useless - because the unconscious parts of behavior control play a decisive role in conflicts. They manifest themselves directly and clearly on a physical level. "Having a lump in your throat" or "boiling with rage" are just two of the phrases that express this. How often do you "get the words stuck in your throat" and "can't think straight"? In conflict situations, these physical sensations and reactions usually lead to a state of tension and constant stress for everyone involved. In order to take the stress out of the system, it is important to recognize these unconscious components and make them conscious.
Recognizing the signals of the unconscious on a physical level in a structured and scientifically sound way and making them usable is the key competence and decisive innovation in conflict resolution. Because the body is always the first to react and always has the last word.
