Leadership roles and attitudes change in organizations that introduce and use agile methods and organizational forms. More personal responsibility and scope for decision-making are handed over to employees and managers experience the tension between trust and control much more intensively. The interaction with superiors and stakeholders is also changing. These changes arise, for example, through agile project and team methods (Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking, etc.), by switching to agile overall organizations (holacracy, etc.) or simply by strengthening everyday agility and flattening hierarchies. Managers are confronted with many complex structural and human conflicts and challenges to which they must react in a situational and targeted manner. This "crash course" aims to sharpen understanding of these changes in the area of leadership and find new ways of dealing with them.

Leading with an agile mindset and agile methods - basics and challenges
- Agile principles and values versus agile methods.
- Refresher: What are agile working methods particularly suitable for - and in which contexts are they not?
- Agile working and leadership within the existing hierarchy.
- Typical challenges, conflicts and pitfalls of "agile" leadership.
Difficult leadership situations of the participants
- Analyze your individual leadership situation and develop possible solutions.
- Collegial consultations and situational methodological impulses.
