Qualification program: Lateral leadership

In our four modules, you will train all the essential leadership skills for your role—depending on your focus:

• Fundamentals I: You will learn about your scope of action as a lateral manager, explore your role, and gain confidence in your demeanor and in performing your management duties.
• You will learn to recognize success parameters for quickly turning a group into a high-performing team and receive tools, methods, and tips from agile mindset, motivational psychology, and much more—so you can lead your employees in a more appreciative and individualized way.
• Get to know your personal working style, set realistic and motivating goals and priorities, professionalize your digital self-organization, and optimize collaboration within and with your team.
• You will gain essential know-how for conducting critical discussions and difficult conversations in a constructive manner: you will optimize your communication style, expand your scope of action through effective conversation techniques, and practice conducting critical discussions and dealing with difficult contacts in a practical manner.
• Together, we will look at how you can prepare for and follow up on the delegation process clearly and effectively, communicate confidently and clearly with your employees, and achieve jointly agreed goals. 
• You can effectively plan and conduct typical conversations in your leadership position, respond flexibly to different conversation situations, and learn to deal authentically with resistance and unpleasant conversation situations.
• You will learn how to promote the success of your project, how the personal characteristics of those involved in the project affect the project work, and you will gain the knowledge you need to actively steer discussions within the project.
• You will gain an overview of current developments in the digital world and their implications for everyday management, strengthen your virtual and hybrid teamwork, and receive effective ideas for driving change processes within your company.
• Fundamentals II: Here you will learn to recognize conflicts early on and deal with them confidently, strategies for conflict resolution, and how to remain calm in your specific leadership situation.
