Personnel is one of the most important resources in any company, as the skills and expertise of employees have a tangible impact on the company's success. Human Resources Management (HRM) is responsible for the management and support of personnel - human resources - and must reconcile the interests of the company with the needs of its employees. Comprehensive support, which includes the personal and professional development of employees, is a building block of personal and corporate development. Other components of successful HR management are personnel planning, personnel controlling, recruiting, personnel development, payroll accounting, payroll accounting and personnel strategy.

HR management (HRM) plays a central role in companies of all sizes when it comes to future-oriented and sustainable personnel development. Especially in times of skills shortages, global competition and digitalization, organizations with an HR strategy have a clear advantage.

In addition to HRM, the terms human resources, HR Management or personnel management are also used. 

Which HR strategy is the right one? - Direction and goals

A modern HRM strategy deals with all HR management activities that encompass personnel development, personnel support and the deployment of employee-related skills and competencies and serve the sustainable implementation of corporate goals and strategies.

Strategic HR Management - the supreme discipline in human resources management - is currently still underestimated in many companies.
