Personal knowledge management: growing in business with self-learning skills

What motivates us as humans to learn varies greatly. In this self-study phase, you will learn about the characteristics of self-organized learning and understand the importance of digital skills for lifelong learning. You will receive guidance on how to optimize your individual learning process independently and productively. Challenge your own initiative and discover which factors are important for your learning motivation. You will address the following questions:

• What are (self-learning) skills?
• How do I keep up to date with relevant information?
• How can I best share my knowledge?
• What motivates me intrinsically and extrinsically?

Our brain is a complex system. Information is stored through repetition, attention, and emotions. It is therefore important to tailor learning processes to the way the brain works in order to enable sustainable knowledge transfer. There are various ways to make learning processes more varied. In this self-study phase, you will learn about different categorizations of learning typologies and delve into the basics of brain-friendly learning. You will deal with the following aspects:

• What learning typologies and learning styles are there?
• On which aspects does the assignment to learning typologies and learning styles depend?
• What do we know about our memory in order to promote brain-friendly learning?

People learn in different ways. Once you know your own learning style, your brain can learn in a natural and relaxed way. In this webinar, reflect on the various concepts and models from the two self-learning phases with the trainer other learners, and discuss how these can be successfully put into practice.

There are various methods for supporting and continuously promoting your own learning processes. Finding and processing relevant information, for example, is the responsibility of corporate learning experts. You can get started right away in this self-learning phase—give your thoughts and ideas free rein.

• Positioning: What skills do I have? What are my strengths and weaknesses?
• Content curation: discover, collect, group and organize content.
• How can I check and adapt my own learning progress?

In the final webinar of the course, you will reflect together with the:der trainer and the other learners on the insights gained from the last self-study phase and the entire course. You will work out how the learnings and skills can now be actively applied in business.
