AI Champion in Sales: Architect of Digital Sales Transformation

How to Build and Scale Your Sales Team’s AI Operating System as an Internal Enabler

Training
Focus AI
This training is held in German.
Artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming sales—from lead generation to negotiations and forecasting, all the way to the entire sales organization. But individual tools and good prompts aren’t enough. What’s more, AI doesn’t make sales easier—it makes them more challenging. AI handles the preparation, while humans manage the relationships. The difference lies in understanding how AI assistants, agents, and context architectures work together—and using that knowledge to build a system tailored to your own organization. That’s exactly what you’ll do in this training. You won’t just develop a roadmap—you’ll build: your contextual foundation, your first functional sales agent, and the architectural blueprint for the AI operating system of your sales department. You’ll empower the sales organization to make its own architectural and investment decisions in the future—confidently, vendor-independently, and in compliance with legal requirements.

Bring your notebook! Further training according to KI-VO Art. 4 for the obligation to provide evidence of AI competence

Day 1: Understanding and Contextualizing—From AI User to AI Architect

  • AI doesn't make sales easier—it makes them more challenging: the new division of labor between humans and AI—what AI handles and what remains the responsibility of salespeople.
  • How Modern AI Really Works: Language Models, Context Windows, Tools, Agents, and Their Control Loops—Architecture Concepts Explained in an Easy-to-Understand Way, with No Programming Knowledge Required.
  • Use-case map along your sales process: from lead generation and lead scoring through qualification, proposals, negotiations, and forecasting to key account management.
  • Maturity Analysis: Where does your sales organization stand today—in terms of data, tools, processes, and competencies?
  • Why Generic AI Fails in Sales: Context as a Key Success Factor.
  • Practical Application: You lay the foundation for your contextual analysis—you use AI to conduct market, competitive, and customer analyses (PESTLE, SWOT, Five Forces), as well as stakeholder and buying center analyses, and structure them as reusable knowledge building blocks for your organization.

Day 2: Building—Contextual Architecture and Your First Sales Agent

  • From Prompt to System: An Overview of the Development Stages—Prompting, Assistants and Projects, SOPs and Skills, Agents.
  • Context Engineering: Knowledge Bases, RAG, and Knowledge Graphs—Which Architecture Makes Sense When, and How Much Does It Cost?
  • Anatomy of an Agent: Mission, Tools, Data Access, Control Loops, and the Human Element in the Loop.
  • AI as a sparring partner in negotiations: Preparation using a target range and “give-and-get” logic, objection simulation, and a “devil’s advocate” check—all based on your client’s context.
  • Practical Exercise: You’ll build your first sales agent—for example, for account research, opportunity qualification, or negotiation preparation—based on your contextual foundation and using your own real-world case.
  • A Look Behind the Scenes: Live Session with AI Coding Agents (e.g., Claude Code)—How Custom Sales Solutions Are Created and When It Makes Sense to Buy, Build, or Orchestrate.

Day 3: Scaling—the AI Operating System for Your Sales Organization

  • From the individual agent to the system: skill library, context register, and feedback loops—the operating system logic that enables your sales organization to learn continuously.
  • Making Confident Architectural Decisions: Tool Stack, CRM and Data Integration, Data Protection, and Digital Sovereignty.
  • Governance that enables speed: approval levels for agents (autonomous, draft, input), the EU AI Act, and AI competence under Article 4 of the EU AI Regulation.
  • Leadership and Change in a Nutshell: New Roles and Competency Profiles, Empowering Teams, Impact on KPI Systems and Sales Management—and How to Win Over Sales Leadership to Your Vision.
  • Practical Application: You’ll develop the blueprint for your sales AI operating system, including a 90-day implementation plan—and refine it through a peer review with the other participants.

In your online learning environment, you will find useful information, downloads and extra services for this training course once you have registered.

  • You understand how AI assistants, agents, and context architectures work—and you can make architecture and investment decisions with confidence, rather than having to rely on vendor promises.
  • You'll walk away with concrete results—not just an action plan: your contextual foundation, a fully functional sales agent, and the blueprint for your AI operating system.
  • You strategically categorize use cases such as lead scoring, forecasting, CRM automation, and negotiation preparation, and prioritize them based on their value and feasibility.
  • You establish governance with clear approval levels—in compliance with the EU AI Act—without slowing down the teams.
  • You’ll guide the sales teams smoothly through the new division of labor between humans and AI—with clear roles, competency profiles, and a realistic implementation plan.
  • The content of this training supports the requirement to demonstrate efforts to promote AI literacy as defined in Article 4 of the EU AI Regulation.

Building Instead of Just Discussing: Short presentations, live demos, and moderated hands-on sessions based on your own case studies alternate with case studies from B2B sales and peer reviews. All exercises use common AI assistants and can be completed without any programming knowledge; supplementary demo sessions with AI coding agents show you what’s technically possible today. For this “ training ,” you’ll need a paid subscription to an AI assistant (e.g., ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro; cancellable monthly). Please bring your laptop as well as one or two of your own case studies (which may be anonymized if necessary; e.g., a target account, ideal customer, or current sales opportunity).

The following third-party tool can be used in the event:

Internal AI champions, sales enablement managers, sales operations and revenue operations managers, business analysts in the sales environment, and CRM managers—in other words, all subject matter experts and project leads who are driving the AI transformation in sales from within, with the support and guidance of sales leadership.

Prior knowledge of AI at the level of the seminar “ChatGPT & Co. in Sales—Fundamentals” is recommended (BNR 35287).

Also recommended for heads of sales, sales managers, key account managers, and CEOs with sales responsibilities who want to gain a thorough understanding of the architecture, capabilities, and limitations of AI in sales.
