Machine Learning Engineer
Unlike the Professional Scrum Master course (“AJS”), this course focuses on the role of Scrum within the SAFe framework and in a Lean-Agile organization.
1. Introduction to SAFe
- Understand the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework and lean thinking.
2. Your Role as a Scrum Master
- Team tasks vs. responsibilities in the Agile Release Train.
3. Planning Interval (PI) Planning
- Event preparation and agenda.
- Creation of PI Objectives.
- Managing risks and dependencies.
4. Iteration Execution & Flow
- Using Kanban to visualize work.
- Facilitating events (stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives).
- Side Note: Effective Use of AI in Scrum Events.
5. Termination of the PI
- Inspect & Adapt (I&A) Workshop on Continuous Improvement.
6. Exam preparation
- Tips and strategies for your SSM certification.
The course covers the official SAFe® curriculum.
Requirements:
There are no formal requirements for enrolling in the course.
Experience in project management and/or computer science, particularly with Scrum/Kanban, is a plus. Familiarity with Agile concepts and principles is also recommended.
Prior knowledge of SAFe is not required in this case. The Leading SAFe certification is recommended to provide an introduction to the framework.
- Understanding the difference between Team Scrum and working in a networked enterprise context
- Preparing and facilitating the Planning Interval (PI)—the heart of SAFe
- Learn how Kanban boards are used to identify bottlenecks and continuously optimize the team’s workflow
- Developing coaching skills to build high-performance teams and resolve conflicts constructively
- Gaining a realistic understanding of how AI can make everyday life easier and where human empathy remains irreplaceable
We believe it is important that you can apply what you have learned directly.
- Theory & practice: The training consists of a combination of compact theoretical input and interactive exercises that ensure the transfer to your everyday working life.
- AI integration: We use AI in a targeted manner as a method. We discuss how executives can use AI strategically to improve data-driven decisions in portfolio management.
- Tools: In our online and hybrid training sessions, we use Miro or Conceptboard as our primary collaboration tool to ensure seamless teamwork.
- Learning outcomes: Short recaps and regular checks of learning objectives help reinforce the material immediately.
- Exam preparation: To ensure you are well prepared for the certification, we will go through the logic of the exam questions together.
After participating in the course, you will receive access to the SAFe Scrum Master exam.
After passing the exam, participants receive the "Certified SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM)" certification from the Scaled Agile Academy.
Exam format: Multiplechoice, web-based, no aids allowed, questions: 45, score: 33 out of 45 (73%), duration: 90 minutes.
The examination is held in English.
Experience has shown that seven to ten hours of independent study are required to successfully pass the exam. Our trainers will prepare you optimally for the course and will also be on hand to answer any questions afterwards.
