Artificial intelligence needs clear rules. The new ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the world's first standard for management systems for AI (Artificial Intelligence Management Systems - AIMS) and provides companies with a framework for the responsible introduction and management of AI technologies. In this two-day training training course, you will receive a comprehensive introduction to the structure, principles and requirements of the standard. You will learn about the key elements of an AIMS - from governance and risk management to transparency, traceability and ethical guidelines. The training shows you how ISO/IEC 42001 can be integrated into existing management systems and how to prepare for audits and further certifications. An optional exam at the end of the seminar enables you to obtain an internationally recognized Foundation certificate.

This training training is conducted in a group of a maximum of 12 participants using the Zoom video conferencing software.
The course contains many scenario-based exercises and multiple-choice tests that are suitable for exam preparation.
This course is conducted in German. The official course materials are not available in German and are therefore provided in English.
The ISO/IEC 42001 Foundation exam meets all the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) and covers the following areas of competence:
- Area 1: Basic principles and concepts of an artificial intelligence management system (AIMS)
- Area 2: Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS),

Examination language & duration:
If you choose an exam language that is not your native language, you will be given an additional 10 minutes.
Candidates who have completed the training but failed the exam may retake the exam once free of charge within 12 months of the original exam date. Please contact support@pecb.com.
This training is aimed at specialists and managers from the fields of AI, IT, compliance, data protection, quality assurance and risk management who are involved in the management, evaluation or use of AI systems. The course is also a valuable introduction to the topic of AI governance in accordance with ISO/IEC 42001 for decision makers, project managers and consultants .
